We were founded on the principle that strength comes from a solid support system. Meaningful, respectful, solution focused discourse is the beginning of empowering one another. We all need support in one area or another. The perception that women who appear strong, can do it alone and don’t need anyone is false. We want to dispel the myth of what it means to be a strong woman. We believe in the power of collaboration. We honor the strong women who can raise their hand and say… “I need you; I need help.” It is not easy; it requires us to Get Up, Rise Up (GURU)…and go deeper every day. We must be willing to be vulnerable, responsible, authentic, empathetic, open and honest. Women who choose to participate in Let’s Talk About It agree to be committed to being accountable to one another, support each other, champion one another, love on one another and correct one another through factual solution-based discourse. It is my mission to inspire the GURU in as many women as possible by talking about the issues that matter to us the most. As we become more and more conscious and knowledgeable, we can see the power of collaborating instead of competing with one another and becoming more mindful of our impact on others. When women feel seen and heard, they glow. They feel empowered to make a difference. When women work together, magic happens. We are by nature nurturers, connectors and caretakers. Therefore, as women we need to continuously care for one another. YOU are here because you are one of those women who is perceived to be the pillar of strength, yet you feel there is no one in your corner…no one you can turn to when you are having a weak moment…this is the place for you. We salute you; we embrace you and we are here for you. We are a community of integral, powerful, successful women dedicated to being GURU’s; committed to changing the collective consciousness of our current society. We are a driven force for supporting one another, healing ourselves, the broken sisterhood, and empowering women in our communities. We believe through the power of encouragement, engagement, education and support, the lives of women will be literally transformed through the process.
